Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, addressing the Cooperative Fair in Pauri, said cooperatives drive rural development, women’s empowerment, and self-reliance.
The government has computerized 671 committees and uploaded data of 3,838 out of 5,511 committees online. Support prices for Manduwa were raised to Rs 48.86/kg, and farmers received interest-free loans up to Rs 5 lakh under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya scheme.
Cooperatives minister Dhan Singh Rawat noted 31 lakh people are involved in cooperatives, with a target to reach 50 lakh, while over 16 lakh farmers have benefitted from loans.
