Due to the lockdown restriction, IFFCO keeps holding its important meetings virtually. The fertilizer cooperative organized the meeting of its state marketing managers spread across the country recently.
During the meeting IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi reviewed the sales position of fertilizer in the wake of Covid-19 and congratulated the team members for their good performance.
“In the lockdown period, IFFCO sales through PoS hiked from 46 percent to 53 percent in April 2020.The IFFCO associated cooperative societies are working hard to fulfill the demand of farmers of their respective states even in this current situation”, MD noted with satisfaction.
Besides, IFFCO is also active at the ground level in the current situation winning applause from the Central and state govts. In particular, Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and Union Fertilizer Minister D V Sadananda Gowda praised the efforts of fertilizer cooperatives in preventing the spread of coronavirus by tweeting their appreciation.
