The Governor of Rajasthan, Haribhau Bagade, laid the foundation stone for the new head office building of Deogiri Nagari Sahakari Bank Ltd. on Thursday, marking an important step in the bank’s expansion.
Headquartered in Sambhajinagar (formerly Aurangabad), the cooperative bank has been providing banking services for nearly four decades. Last year, it achieved the status of a Scheduled Bank, a milestone that strengthened its position in the cooperative banking sector.
The new building will be constructed on a 13,000 sq ft land parcel that the bank had acquired earlier. The proposed structure will be a Ground + 7 storey modern building, designed to house advanced banking facilities and administrative offices.
Bank officials said the project is expected to be completed within around 18 months.
The upcoming building is expected to enhance the bank’s infrastructure and help it deliver improved and technology-driven services to its growing customer base.
