Demand for election in Manipur State Coop Union

Sangai Express reports the delay in holding the election to Manipur State Cooperative Union (MSCU) is likely to trigger agitation by the union.

Talking to journalists Kh Tomba, a member of Manipur State Cooperative Union revealed that the process of holding a general body meeting and electing new functionaries could not be carried out within its term of five years.

A 5-member team was constituted as Board of Administrators of the Union for a period of six months IN 2022, he said. Tomba urged the authorities concerned to hold the election sooner than later.
