Deepavali bonus for co-op staffs in Tamil Nadu

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister announced a Deepavali bonus of Rs 242.41 crore to the 3.77 lakh employees of the State Public Sector Undertakings including cooperative sugar mills and Cooperative Milk Producers Federation, says Press Trust of India.

All eligible employees of the Cooperative societies will get 8.33 per cent bonus and 1.67 per cent ex-gratia while the employees of the profit-making Cooperative societies will get 20 per cent bonus’, the Chief Minister said.

All workers of Central Cooperative Societies and District Cooperative Societies who do not come under the Bonus Act will be given Rs 1,500 as ex-gratia. Workers of the primary cooperative societies who do not come under the Bonus Act will get Rs 1,200 as ex-gratia’ the Chief Minister announced.
