DCCBs’ recruitment to be fair in Maharashtra

The Maharashtra government has announced that all future recruitments in District Central Cooperative (DCC) Banks will be conducted exclusively through recognised agencies such as IBPS, TCS-iON, or MKCL to ensure transparency and fairness, reports the HT.

The state also cancelled the earlier recruitment panels formed by the Cooperative Commissioner after complaints of irregularities in several districts.

As per the new policy, 70% of posts will be reserved for local candidates with district domicile certificates, while 30% remain open to others.

The reform, applicable even to ongoing recruitments, aims to curb malpractices and restore public trust in cooperative institutions. Aspirants have welcomed the move as a step toward merit-based hiring.
