In his address on the occasion of the inauguration of the National Cooperative Database, NCUI Chairman Dileepbhai Sanghani said that the release of NCD is an important milestone in the history of the cooperative movement in India.
“It has been possible only due to the visionary leadership of Shri Amitbhai Shah. The database will give a new direction to the cooperative movement”, he noted.
Sanghani said, “Since the formation of the Ministry of Cooperatives, NCUI engaged itself in making the National Cooperative Database with the officials of the Ministry. This effort is not just about compiling data but also laying the foundation for a transparent and efficient cooperative sector, which can serve the country better”, he remarked.
The NCUI President, who doubles as the Chairman of IFFCO, added that under the aegis of the Ministry of Cooperation, NCUI has mainly focused on strengthening the cooperative movement. I am thankful to Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi for setting up a separate ministry for the cooperative sector after a gap of 70 years”, he said.
