An annual audit of an agriculture cooperative society in Dahegaon mandal IN Kumram Bheem Asifabad revealed a Rs 50 lakh fund misappropriation for 2021-22 and 2022-23.
District Cooperative Officer Mohan announced that some staffers diverted funds meant for fertilizer sales to personal use. While Rs 10 lakh has been repaid, the remaining amount is due within a month.
An inquiry was launched following a complaint from farmers, who also alleged illegal fertilizer sales worth Rs 9 lakh and demanded stringent action against the responsible staff and council members.
