Haryana’s Cooperation Minister Dr. Arvind Sharma virtually joined the inauguration ceremony of the 70th crushing season (2025–26) of the Bhali Anandpur Cooperative Sugar Mill as the chief guest on Tuesday.
At the local venue, former Cooperation Minister Manish Kumar Grover, Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta, BJP State Vice President Satish Nandal, District President Ranbir Dhaka and Managing Director of the mill Shweta Suhag formally launched the crushing season by pressing the boiler button.
The guests also offered sugarcane into the mill’s conveyor chain and participated in a havan, praying for the smooth and successful functioning of the new season.
Addressing the event virtually, Dr. Sharma said that farmers celebrate the start of the sugar mill’s crushing season as a festival. He highlighted that both the Union and State Governments have taken several farmer-friendly decisions.
He added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi always appreciates the contributions of Haryana’s soldiers, farmers and sportspersons. The Minister also noted that Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has increased the sugarcane price to Rs 415 per quintal for the early-variety crop.
