Hindu reports an investigation has been ordered into the crop loan scam involving Rs 22.22 crore in PACS in East Godavari District in Andhra Pradesh.
It is said the DCCB staff were allegedly involved in defrauding the amount through accounts of fake farmers. 19 people in all are supposed to be involved in the scam.
East Godawri District Central Cooperative Bank Executive Officer Praveen Kumar is quoted saying further investigation into the fraud is underway.
