Media reports say criminals have made away with Rs 1.5 cr cash from BHEL Cooperative Bank in Tiruchirappalli in Tamil Nadu quoting police sources.
Police say the cash was not in the locker but in a table drawer in the premises of the bank.
Police point the finger of suspicion on some staff members who knew where the money was kept. A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
