The Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies (CRCS) has issued a notice summoning the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Vaikunth Multi-State Cooperative Group Housing Society to appear for a personal hearing on October 3, 2025, at 4:00 PM at the CRCS office in World Trade Center, New Delhi.
The action follows observations that the society had not submitted its mandatory annual returns on the CRCS portal and that the tenure of its existing Board of Directors had expired, making elections due under the provisions of the Multi-State Cooperative Societies (MSCS) Act, 2002. Earlier hearings and notices failed to elicit a satisfactory response from the society.
Further scrutiny revealed multiple discrepancies in the society’s registered address across audit reports, balance sheets, and CRCS portal entries. Letters sent to both its official and registered addresses were returned marked “no such person,” suggesting the society may not be functioning at its registered location.
The CRCS has directed the society’s Chairman and CEO to appear with all relevant documents and information. Failure to attend the hearing will be considered as the society having nothing to present, and further action, including possible winding up, may be initiated under the MSCS Act, 2002.
The notice was issued by Jitender Nagar, Deputy Commissioner (Cooperation).
