CRCS asks for appointment of Sales Officers in co-ops

The Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies (CRCS) has issued new instructions regarding the appointment of Sales Officers under Section 97 of the Multi-State Cooperative Societies (MSCS) Act, 2002.

All multi-state cooperative societies and banks are required to submit proposals online via the ‘CRCS Office Portal’ to ensure compliance with the guidelines.

The proposal must be submitted by the Chairman or Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on the official letterhead of the society or bank.

A certified copy of the board resolution authorizing senior officers to appoint Sales Officers is also mandatory. Additionally, details of the number of cases assigned to each proposed Sales Officer must be provided.

Societies and banks are required to furnish a list of decrees or awards for execution.

The list must include specific details such as the decree or award number and date, the names of the parties involved, the arbitrator’s name, and the amount involved in each case.

These measures aim to streamline the process of executing decrees or awards issued by arbitrators under Section 84 of the MSCS Act.

The directive has been issued with the approval of the Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies, and all concerned entities are expected to adhere to the prescribed process.
