Covid forces Maha govt to reschedule co-op elections

Due to the resurgence of the Wuhan virus, the Maharashtra government has once again rescheduled the elections of all cooperatives, including housing societies, with more than 250 members. The elections could not be held till 31st March, reports Times of India.

Earlier, the state govt. had permitted elections in view of the demands made by cooperative bodies.

However, the govt. has permitted them to hold AGMs online. It is said Maharashtra has reported thousands of new Covid cases.
