Cosmos Bank chairman receives award from Shah

If you are in Pune, you cannot miss seeing the overwhelming presence of Cosmos Cooperative Bank. No wonder, the second-largest UCB was felicitated by Union Minister Amit Shah for a successful journey of more than 100 years.

The felicitations included a shield, a shawl, and a citation, which was received by the Cosmos Bank team led by its dynamic Chairman Milind Kale. Kale was accompanied by the MD and other staff members.

If you stay for more than 100 years, it means you have proved your relevance, said Amit Shah on the occasion of felicitating about 10 banks at a glittering function in Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi on Thursday.

An elated Chairman thanked Nafcub and stakeholders who have continued to repose their faith in the bank despite many ups and downs. “We will prove our worth again in the next 100 years”, said a confident Kale to the Indian Cooperative correspondent at the venue.

It bears recall that the Cosmos Co-operative Bank holds the record of 116 years of relentless service to its more than 20 lakh customers through 141 branches in 7 States. Over the past decade, the Bank has made continual progress and has set an example to co-operative banks by its professional conduct.
