Cosmos Cooperative Bank marked the completion of 120 years of dedicated customer service on January 18, 2026, by launching a meaningful social responsibility initiative. To commemorate the milestone, the Bank appointed four visually impaired individuals into its workforce, reflecting its commitment to inclusive growth.
Appointment letters were formally handed over by Chairman Adv. Pralhad Kokare in the presence of chief guest CA Dilip Satbhai.
The selected candidates Devdan Gaikwad, Abhijit More, Pooja Ghadge and Prajwal Bire have been recruited as Trainee Junior Officers. Their selection followed a transparent process that included MS Word and Excel tests along with personal interviews.
The recruits will be assigned appropriate roles at the Head Office or Back Office, supported by necessary assistive facilities and software to enable efficient functioning.
This initiative marks the first instance in the Bank’s 120-year history of appointing visually impaired persons. Conceptualised under the guidance of Board of Management Chairman CA Milind Kale, the programme aims to integrate divyang individuals into the mainstream and promote financial independence. The Bank stated that similar initiatives will continue, setting a benchmark in the cooperative banking sector.
