Opposition parties in Kerala recently boycotted Assembly proceedings accusing the left government over favoring a particular company for providing software to cooperative banks in the state at a cost of Rs 160 crore, reports New Indian Express.
The company in question is Indian Financial Technology and Allied Services (IFTAS) which has been asked to offer unified software for cooperative banks.
The Kerala cooperation minister defended the government saying the company chosen for the software supply is a subsidiary of RBI. However, opposition rejected the government claim and insisted it was a private company.
