Recently, the 50th meeting of trustees of IFFCO’s arm Cooperative Rural Development Trust (CORDET) was held in IFFCO Sadan at Delhi and was presided over by IFFCO Chairman Balvinder Nakia.
IFFCO Managing Director Dr U S Awasthi who always shares his daily routine work on social media wrote “Today 50th meeting of trustees of #CORDET held at #IFFCO Sadan. The Cooperative Rural Development Trust is working for growth & development of #farmers, working on models to increase farm income. Organise various trainings and skill development programs for farmer youth & women”.
It bears recall that IFFCO promoted Cooperative Rural Development Trust (CORDET) in the year 1979 to provide education and training for farmers and has units at Phulpur, Kalol and Kandla.
“During the period 2016-17, CORDET has organized 284 training programmes benefiting 20,464 farmers including women from various States”, claims IFFCO website.
Besides Awasthi, IFFCO Joint MD Rakesh Kapur, Marketing Director Yogendra Kumar, Director Shisapal Singh and others attended the meeting.
