Cooperators celebrate Chhath with gusto

With the Chhath Puja acquiring a pan-Indian significance, top cooperative leaders including NCUI President Dr Chandra Pal Singh Yadav and IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi, among others, have greeted the fellow cooperators a “Happy Chhath”.

Primarily a religious event observed by the people of Bihar and Eastern Uttar Pradesh, their migration to various parts of the country has made it an all India event with Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and other cities preparing in a big way for the event.

In Bihar, cooperators led by Biscomaun Chairman Sunil Singh celebrated Chhath Puja in a big way. Sharing some exclusive photographs he wished everybody on the occasion. “Jai Chhath Maiya! On the occasion of Chhath Puja, I extend my heartfelt greetings to all the cooperators!

“I am in my village and the river Ganges flows right through it; chhath celebrations have a unique flavor here and you have to come here to appreciate its beauty”, said Sunil Saturday morning while returning from the Ghat.

Tweeting on the occasion IFFCO MD said “Heartfelt greetings and congratulations to all of you on the occasion of #Chhathpuja. May Chhath Maya provide happiness, prosperity and happiness to all. May Chhath Mata bring happiness in the lives of our farmers.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also greeted people on the occasion.
