Cooperation Ministry more fulfilling than Home: Shah

Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah expressed deep personal satisfaction in leading the Ministry of Cooperation, calling it more fulfilling than his tenure in the Home Ministry.

Speaking at ‘Sahkar Samvad’ in Ahmedabad, Shah remarked that while heading the Home Ministry is prestigious, especially given the legacy of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, he feels the Cooperation Ministry enables him to serve the poor, farmers, and animals in a more direct and meaningful way.

He emphasized that this ministry fosters grassroots empowerment through economic inclusion and community-driven development. Shah said his future plans include organizing 10 “Chaupals” across three states each to further grassroots engagement.

He affirmed that the ministry’s mission goes beyond policy, touching lives across villages by promoting cooperative institutions and self-reliance, thereby creating a strong foundation for rural India’s development.
