On the occasion of Cooperative Week, the Bhartiya Beej Sahkari Samiti Limited (BBSSL), in collaboration with the Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India, successfully organized a one-day national awareness programme at BVRI (P.G.) College, Bichpuri, Agra.

The theme of the programme was “Empowering PACS and Grassroots Cooperative Institutions through the New National Cooperative Policy.”

The event marked a significant milestone for BBSSL as experts, practitioners and stakeholders engaged in meaningful discussions on strengthening PACS, exploring emerging opportunities in the cooperative sector and enhancing farmer prosperity through collective efforts.

BBSSL Managing Director Chetan Joshi addressed the gathering, highlighting the role of technology and innovation in modernizing the cooperative ecosystem. He also showcased the key farmer-centric features of the Shakti App, designed to improve accessibility, transparency and efficiency in cooperative services.

The programme witnessed participation from senior officials of the cooperation department, representatives of Sahakar Bharati, village heads, PACS members, farmers and a large number of students, reflecting broad community engagement.

Organized as part of Cooperative Week celebrations, the initiative served as a meaningful effort by BBSSL to strengthen cooperative awareness at the grassroots level and inspire the younger generation to connect with the cooperative movement.
