Tani Development Forum has condemned the press statement issued by Registrar of Cooperative Societies (RCS) Tai Kaye over the report of the death of Naharlagun-based APCCF’s deputy manager Tadu Obey, reports Arunachal Times.
The RCS said the employee had died due to mental harassment, allegedly by the MD of APCCF.
Earlier, the RCS had said the Arunachal Pradesh Consumers’ Cooperative Federation (APCCF) was not a government-run body but an apex level cooperative society registered under the Arunachal Pradesh Cooperative Societies Act, 1978.
MD, APCCF is sponsored and appointed on behalf of the state government and the RCS can supersede the society if the society had violated the bye-laws framed for the overall management of the society.
