Content of Notice served to NLCF Board by Central Registrar

This is the verbatim letter that was dispatched to concerned parties on 8th August by the office of the Central Registrar. The letter is signed by Dr. Abhilaksh Likhi, Central Registrar of Multi-State Cooperative Societies.

“In exercise of powers conferred under sub-section (4) of section 84 of Multi State Cooperative Societies Act, 2002, I Dr. Abhilaksh Likhi, Central Registrar of Multi-State Cooperative Societies hereby appoint Ms. Deepa Sharma, E-119, B K Dutt Colony, New Delhi 110003, as an Arbitrator to settle the disputes of election of representatives to the Board Directors of National Labour Cooperative Federation of India (NLCF). Filed by Ms. Divya Nair in respect of Forest Labour Constituency against NLCF and others and Mr. V V Pankajakshan in respect of Labour Constituency against NLCF and others as per the provision of the Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996 read with section 84 of Multi-State Cooperative Societies Act 2002.

It is pointed out that as per sub section 5 of section 84 of MSCS Act 2002 save as otherwise provided under this Act, the provision of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 shall apply to the arbitration under this act as if the proceedings for arbitration were referred for settlement or decision under the provision of the Arbitration & Conciliation Act 1996. The fee and other expense of Arbitrator shall be governed by the provision of the Arbitration & Conciliation Act 1996. The amount of fee fixed by the Arbitrator shall be intimated to this office.

The disputes have to be settled by the Arbitrator with the period of three months from the date of this order.”
