Connecting youth thru’ social media: NCUI hosts webinar
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

In a bid to connect youth with the cooperative movement through innovative communication strategies, the Public Relations Division of the National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI) organized a webinar titled ‘Connect with Coops through Social Media’ on 3rd July.

Targeting college students across the country, the primary objective of the webinar was to encourage students to engage with the social media handles of the Ministry of Cooperation and NCUI.

Rajeev Sharma, Executive Director, and Sanjay Verma, Director, emphasized the importance of these social media platforms as valuable sources of information on the latest developments in the cooperative sector.

They urged students to not only update their knowledge by following these handles but also to actively share and comment on the posts to promote greater awareness and engagement.

Approximately 100 students participated in the webinar, reflecting a strong interest in the cooperative movement among the youth. Given the positive response, NCUI plans to organize more such webinars and physical events in the future to further enhance youth engagement with cooperatives.

This initiative follows previous successful webinars conducted by the division, aimed at increasing the social media reach for NCUI’s member institutions, State Cooperative Unions, and Joint Cooperative Training Centres (JCTs).
