According to the Indian Express reports, Congress has retained its control over the Wankaner Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC), a leading wholesale market of cotton and cumin seeds in the Morbi district in Gujarat.
As directed by the Gujarat High Court, the meeting of the newly-elected Board of Directors was held on Monday to elect a chairman and a vice-chairman.
Congress party fielded Gulamali Parasara and Natha Goriya for chairman and vice-chairman, respectively, who trounced BJP candidates to control the prestigious APMC.
