Free Press Journal reports a special MP/MLA court in Gwalior has sentenced a Congress leader and former minister Bhagwan Singh Yadav to three years’ imprisonment for his involvement in a scam in a women’s cooperative body.
The accused was charged with supplying stationery items worth Rs 4 lakh in 1988 without following the guidelines.
EOW carried out the investigation in the case. The accused was sentenced to three year’s imprisonment and asked to pay a fine of Rs 15,000.
