State Cooperative Banks, District Central Cooperative Banks and Urban Cooperative Bank registered deposits of Rs 11,75,358 crore as on 31st March 2022. Union Minister of State finance Bhagwat Karad shared this while giving a written reply to a query.
“As on 31st March 2022, the total number of deposit accounts in StCBs, DCCBs and UCBs stood at 1,84,39,031, 12,80,06,218 and 7,84,67,512 respectively. Based on data available with Nabard, there are 1,00,159 PACCs in the country as on 30th September 2022”, he added.
Karad further said, “There are 352 DCCBs and 34 StCBs which are under the supervision of Nabard. There are 1504 UCBs in the country. DCCBs, StCBs and UCBs are participating in Direct Bank Transfers through National Automated Clearing House (NACH).
