The BJP has wronged its leader Gurunath Jantikar by denying him a ticket to contest from the Northeast Graduates’ constituency, said Sanjeev Kumar Patil, vice president of cooperative unions.
Speaking to reporters, Patil highlighted Jantikar’s 35-year service in the BJP, RSS, and Sahakar Bharati, and criticized the party for not recognizing his contributions.
Patil urged Jantikar to run independently, promising support from all cooperative societies. Another leader, Jagannath Karanje, confirmed Jantikar’s independent bid. Several other leaders, including Nagshetty Patil and Annarao Navadgere, attended the briefing.
