A co-operative training programme was jointly organized by Kolhapur District Urban Banks Association and Dr Vitthalrao Vikhe Patil Co-Operative Management Society at Kolhapur last week.
More than 165 Chairmen, Directors and CEOs from 57 urban cooperative banks took part in the event. The participants were drawn from several districts including Kolhapur, Sangli and Satara.
Sahakar Bharati Patron Satish Marathe inaugurated the day long training programme.
Those present on the occasion included Nipun Kore, Chairman, KJUB Association, Ashok Soundattikar, Director, NAFCUB and Dinesh Oulkar, retired RCS, Maharashtra.
The basic facts of banking operations were discussed during the session. One of the cooperators close to Nafcub said the challenges confronting UCBs have increased manyfold in the wake of demonetization.
