Co-operative offices raided in Patna

Patna police have detained two persons carrying Rs. 24.67 lakh in a bag. The police claim the detained persons are working for Rudra Jiwan Cooperative with branches across the country.

According to the police sources, the amount has been seized in a drive to stop misuse of money and liquor during the upcoming parliamentary poll.

Meanwhile , the Patna police raided the local branch of the cooperative and arrested some more persons. The police have a suspicion that these people have been indulging in a range of illegal activities through the cooperative network. A thoroughgoing investigation into the case is underway, claimed a top police official.
