Co-op sugar mills will be made stronger: Minister

While recently opening the sale of ethanol from the Shahabad Cooperative Sugar Mills, the Haryana cooperation minister Banwari Lal said the state govt. would take all possible steps to make cooperative sugar mills financially stronger, reports Tribune.

The govt. will unveil several new projects to help sugar mills in paying off farmers’ dues without delay, the minister said.

He described the Shahabad sugar mill as one of the best sugar mills of the country.

A 60-KL PD (kilo litre per day) ethanol plant was set up at the sugar mill at a cost of Rs 99 crore last year.
