The Jammu and Kashmir Government has constituted a committee for exemption of stamp duty and registration fee on instruments relating to cooperative societies.
The Special Secretary to the Government Cooperative Department will chair the committee.
The other three members on the committee are Director Finance Cooperative Department, Deputy Legal Remembrance Cooperative Department and Deputy Registrar (Hqr) in the office of RCS.
The letter was issued by Babila Rakwal (JKAS), Secretary to the Government Cooperative Department last week.
It bears recalling that the Punjab Government recently reduced the registration fees for cooperatives from Rs 20 lakh to Rs 10,000.
