A bevy of women from Vaiyanoor in Tamil Nadu are the center of attention now-a days. They have put up a mobile fish food stall catering to the needs of fish lovers.
Most of these women hail from the families traditionally involved in fishing in the area. The Tamil Nadu Apex Fisheries Cooperative Federation has helped the group of 15 fisher women with funds and vans.
The mobile food stall mainly offers fish curry and deep fried fish. Sources say, an amount of Rs. 30 lakh has been spent on installing the stall and buying vans at Vaiyanoor.
