Co-op mobile bank vans launched in WB

With a view to ensuring every village has a bank, the West Bengal Government will soon launch banks on vehicles throughout the state, reports UNI.

To begin with, five such banks have been launched in Murshirabad district of West Bengal and these banks would be managed by cooperative banks.

There are nearly five thousand cooperative societies in the state.

A source says these mobile banks would visit unbanked rural areas regularly to help farmers.
