Co-op leaders of Congress flock to TRS camp

Nalgonda -Ranga Reddy Milk Producers’ Mutually Aided Cooperative Union(NARMACs) chairman Gutha Jitendar Reddy brother of Congress MP Gutha Sukendar Reddy has formally become a member of Telangana Rastra Samiti. The development is being seen as a blow to the Congress party, says Hindu.

The English daily adds scores of important cooperative leaders including all the directors of NARMACs have also joined the TRS.

Sources say Gutha Reddy switching his loyalty to TRS is prompted by narrow calculations of defending his sphere of influence in the cooperative sector. By the same token, several other cooperative heavyweights with their followers are likely to join TRS soon, add sources.

During the past one year, the Congress party has lost several key leaders to TRS that include, ZPTC, Chairman Balu Nayak, Deputy Chairman of Legislative Council Nethi Vidyasagar, MLA Pula Ravindar, several ZPTCs, MPTCs, Municipal Councillors.
