Co-op leader Bhende gets key role in BJP Maharashtra

In a major organisational reshuffle, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Maharashtra has appointed Sanjay Bhende, Chairman of Nagpur Nagarik Sahakari Bank Ltd, as one of the Vice-Presidents of the party’s state unit.

The announcement was made on Tuesday by State President Ravindra Chavan during a press conference where he unveiled the new team of state office-bearers, including chief spokespersons, general secretaries, secretaries, treasurer and the BJP Yuva Morcha president.

Born on 18 October 1970, Bhende has been actively associated with the BJP and served as a State Executive Member between 2013 and 2015.

He has also played a key organisational role in managing party offices across Maharashtra. A long-time member of the RSS since childhood, Bhende is professionally a lecturer at New English High School, Nagpur.

His elevation is seen as recognition of his organisational experience and cooperative sector leadership.
