Co-op inspector gheraoed in a Taran Taran village

According to Tribune reports, the Sursing village in Taran Taran in Punjab became a scene of violence when Inspector Gurinder Singh of the Cooperative Department, came to the village to hold an inquiry into alleged irregularities committed in the working of Cooperative Agriculture Service Society (CASS), Sursing.

Cooperative Inspector Gurinder Singh was attacked by functionaries of the village society.

The Inspector lodged a complaint with the local police against three office bearers of the society who were involved in violence against him.  The scam involves lakhs of rupees.
