Addressing a cooperative function in Kota, Rajasthan, Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla said, “Cooperative is active bringing about changes in rural areas across 124 countries of the world.
Lok Sabha Speaker further said that the contributions of cooperative towards the transformation of India are equally important as it generates employment opportunities as well as helps in ensuring general development of the country.
Om Birla said cooperatives have not only the potential to eradicate the country’s poverty but also cut out middlemen indulging in illegal activities and cheating the poor people.
He urged every Indian citizen to be aware of various government schemes and take benefit from them.
