Co-op Conclave focuses on sustainable growth in Pasighat

A two-day cooperative conclave concluded in Pasighat, East Siang district, with renewed emphasis on strengthening cooperative institutions and promoting sustainable business practices.

Addressing the valedictory session, Cooperation Minister Ojing Tasing and Pasighat East MLA Tapi Darang reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to empowering cooperatives and accelerating grassroots economic development.

Darang urged members to work collectively, reinforce institutional frameworks and effectively utilise government schemes for long-term sustainability.

A technical session on fisheries cooperatives was conducted by NFDB regional office representative Sadiqur Laskar, who highlighted scientific methods and emerging opportunities in the sector, followed by an interaction with fisheries farmers.

NCDC also held a workshop on business planning and financial management. SHG-turned Bosi Didum Cooperative shared its transformation journey and future roadmap.
