The election authorities have converted Jamshedpur Cooperative College into a strongroom for keeping electronic voting machines (EVMs) for Jamshedpur Lok Sabha constituency.
The college will be kept closed until May 20.The announcement was made by the college principal following his meeting with the Dhalbhum sub divisional officer.
“The purpose behind keeping the college closed is to stop movement of the college staff in the strongroom,” said the principal of the college. The district administration has deployed CRPF personnel to guard the strongroom.
