After organic vegetables the Ernakulam District Cooperative Bank is trying to help produce organic eggs. They are working on the project already, informed a source.
The Bank’s project titled ‘Oru Muram Visharahitha Pachakari’ received a major fillip with authorities kicking off vegetable harvesting at Puthanvelikkara, according to New Indian Express.
N P Paulose, president of DCB, inaugurated the first phase of harvesting cultivated under the dairy development cooperative society, Puthanvelikkara.
It was early this year that the DCB distributed vegetable seeds to as many as 50,000 units in the district to ensure a healthy and bountiful Onam by cultivating 20,000 tonnes of organic vegetables.
