P Balakrishnan, general secretary, All India Co-operative Bank Employees Federation says cooperative banks are facing existential problems because the country’s politicians are cynically using them for their narrow political benefits, reports Times of India.
Addressing a press-conference Sunday in Indore, Balakrishnan, said co-operative banks have been left in the lurch and he urged upon the MP government to bring in policies to help banks facing losses, he said.
Madhya Pradesh has 58 urban co-operative banks and 38 agriculture co-operative banks.
