Cooperative Agricultural Society Pachranga in Bhigpur district of Punjab in the news for a scam amounted to Rs 85 lakh. Bhogpur police have registered an FIR, reports The Tribune.
More than a dozen have given their statement to the police, but the amount of scam is increasing everyday as the police have said the scam would escalate more when remaining sufferers would too record their statements.
While the Cooperative Department was yet to resolve the case of Rs 70 lakh Loharan Multipurpose Cooperative Society scam at Bhogpur, another society from Bhogpur, Cooperative Agricultural Society, Pachranga, was hit by a big fraud, the daily writes.
The accused has not been caught by the police yet.
