Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu directed officials to establish dairy cooperative societies across the state on a mission mode to boost dairy production and employment, reports say.
Currently active in 910 panchayats, he urged expanding the network. He reviewed the Rs 225 crore Dhagwar milk plant project, set to benefit four districts by June 2026.
Sukhu announced plans for six new milk processing units and raised milk support prices. He also called for promoting the ‘Him-Ghee’ brand and speeding up Gau Sadan construction across the state.
