Union Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will launch the AI-powered digital platform Bharat-VISTAAR in Jaipur today on February 17, marking a significant step toward smart agriculture.

Developed under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the platform is designed as a one-stop digital companion for farmers, offering information on weather forecasts, market prices, pest and disease management, soil health, crop advisory, and government schemes through phone calls and chatbots, with a mobile app planned later.

In the first phase, the service will be available in Hindi and English and is expected to benefit lakhs of farmers across Maharashtra, Bihar, and Gujarat. The launch will see virtual participation from farmers nationwide, alongside Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and senior agriculture officials.
