Chhattisgarh State Cooperative Union and Bastar District Cooperative Union jointly organized a training program for tribal on Monday at Khaspara Anganwadi Center in Darbha Development Block.
During the training program, District Cooperative Education Instructor Vivek Pandey of the Union apprised the participants of the meaning of cooperative, its importance and cooperative principles, among others things. Detailed information was given on the Rural Housing Cooperative Society in the state.
Sugarcane farmers in the area were encouraged to form jaggery cooperatives. Bastar district cooperative union Manager CK Dwivedi informed the participants on how to form cooperatives.
