Nearly a dozen cooperative societies have been honoured with Sahkarita Samman by Sahkar Bharati Chhattisgarh for their excellent works in a programme organized recently, reports Hitavada.
The cooperative societies, that have won the laurels include Dogeshwar Sahkari Credit Society Dhamtari, Satyam Shivam Sahkari Credit Society Raipur, Chandi Credit Cooperative Society Abhanpurand Jaivik Khad Nirman Vipnan Sahkari Samiti Bilaspur.
Other in the list includes Garima Credit Society Bilaspur, Sarkheshwarnath Credit Cooperative Society Kolar Abhanpur, Chhattisgarh Mahila Kamakhya Sahkari Society Durg, Prayas Sahayata Credit Society Durg and Vasudev Kutumbkam Credit Society Surajpur, a press release says.
Mumbai headquartered Sahakar Bharati is a Non-Political and Non-Government organization. Its website claims “for the co-operative workers, the co-operation is selfless service to the society in the economic field. Therefore, the felling of social responsibility in the Co-operative workers is essential.”
“It is essential to follow financial discipline in Co-operative field. For the Co-operative Society economic fitness is not the only test but the social welfare also Co-operative movement should free from party politics, reads its site”.
