The Ministry of Cooperation has issued a notification introducing a key amendment to the representation of its officials in the Tribhuvan Sahkari University.

As per the latest notification, the Central Government has modified its earlier order dated July 16, 2025. Under the revised provision, two officers of the rank of Joint Secretary or above from the Ministry of Cooperation will now be part of the university’s governing structure.

The notification also clearly defines their roles. One officer will be responsible for matters related to Cooperative Policy and Parliament, while the other will handle initiatives linked to the government’s “Cooperation to Prosperity” vision.

The move is aimed at bringing greater clarity, accountability, and coordination in the functioning of the university. By assigning specific responsibilities to senior officials, the government seeks to strengthen the link between policy-making and cooperative education.
