The Co-operative Election Authority (CEA) has appointed five Assistant Returning Officers (AROs) for conducting the elections of the National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI), according to an order issued on Tuesday.
The appointments have been made under the provisions of the Multi State Co-operative Societies (MSCS) Act, 2002 and related rules to assist the Returning Officer in carrying out the election process as per the election programme notified earlier on May 7, 2026.
The appointed officers include Suresh Kumar (Assistant Registrar), Joseph Baxla, Sandip Dutta, Anil Kumar and Sanjay Jha, all serving as Deputy Registrars in the Cooperative Societies administration.
The CEA has also directed the Returning Officer and AROs to refer to election-related handbooks and procedural documents uploaded on the Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies website under the Cooperative Election Authority section.
