CBI raids co-operator Sunil’s house for political reasons

The CBI raided the house and office of one of the top co-operators in the country and an MLC from RJD, Sunil Kumar Singh in connection with the alleged land for jobs scam in Patna on Wednesday.

Sunil who is the Chairman of Biscomaun and also the Vice Chairman of Nafed had recently shared the dais with Union Cooperation and Home Minister Amit Shah at a function in Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi.

Sunil is also close to Lalu Prasad Yadav, against whom the CBI is carrying out investigation in the railway scam of jobs for land. A video of Sunil and his family shouting from the rooftops and addressing the media while the raid was going on, went viral and was later run by all the national TV channels throughout the day.

“Residences of senior RJD leaders in Jharkhand and Bihar were raided just ahead of the Mahagathbandhan government moving a confidence motion in the Bihar assembly to prove their majority, in what looks like a tactic by the BJP to express their displeasure at losing control of the governing coalition in Bihar”, media reports say.

Though Sunil was somewhat controlled his wife Vandana Singh who is also a delegate of several co-op organizations was livid with anger and threatened that she would file a defamation case against the CBI.
